Hands in the community

Hands in the Community is an initiative started in Whangarei to grow the number of NZSL users through supporting projects for people to learn NZSL.

Deaf Action NZ has supported:

• Learn NZSL with Eddie Trust to deliver local NZSL classes in Whangarei.
• An Art Exhibition – Hands in the Community at Hihiaua Cultural Centre.

Hands in the Community is about grass roots Deaf communities networking with their local communities to grow the number of NZSL users.
